Nairobi has a lot of intriguing things to do despite its unimpressive image, and if you ever find yourself there, you might wish you had a few more nights to spend. Karen’s opulent garden suburb is where the majority of the action takes place. A normal day could start with a visit to the David Sheldrick Trust’s orphaned elephants, end with a giraffe “kiss” at the center at Giraffe Manor, and spend some time at the Karen Blixen Museum (along with coffee and cake). In addition to maybe including a dinner stop at one of the new eateries, we advise hiring a driver to show you the sites.

Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Wilson Airport for a local flight to Masai Mara. On arrival, you will meet our representative who will welcome you to the Savannah land and transfer you to the hotel. Later, start your game-viewing experience at this majestic reserve, home of the African Big Five.

There is no need to introduce the well-known Masai Mara. Part of the Greater Serengeti savannah environment, the 1500 square kilometer reserve in southwest Kenya provides some of the world’s best wildlife viewing opportunities. This is where infinite plains meet endless skies, where the Great Migration’s wildebeest plunge ferociously across the Mara River on their yearly trek, and where enormous groups of antelope are pursued by more predators than you can conceive. The Mara won’t let you down on whatever you want to cross off your safari bucket list. You can also opt to carry out a balloon safari, viewing the Mara plains from an eagle’s view, a lifetime experience.

After breakfast, you will check out and transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Nairobi Wilson. Catch another flight to Laikipia. On arrival, you will meet our representative who will transfer you to the hotel for relaxing, dinner, and overnight.

More than any place else, your experience will be shaped by where you stay. Laikipia’s private farms and reserves provide a wide range of activities, each as distinctive as they are. Laikipia is well known for its amazing wildlife watching; rhinos, large cats, elephants, buffalo, and wild dogs may all be seen in significant numbers, but how you choose to locate them is up to you.

There are game drives available in the morning, afternoon, and (often) at night. We advise starting with the drives and adding more as you like. These can include more strenuous foot and fly-camping trips, which entail going through the bush during the day and spending the night in a basic camp beneath the stars, as well as walking safaris, which last roughly three to four hours. Safaris with horses are rather popular, and it’s not uncommon to be given a safari by camel! Cycling and mountain bike excursions, fixed-wing flights for aerial game watching, and an opportunity to interact with the famous Maasai and Samburu warriors—who frequently own land in the conservancies—are also planned.

Enjoy your last lavish breakfast, check out, and bid farewell before you transfer to Laikipia Airstrip for a flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport. On arrival, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
