After a fifteen-minute journey, our driver will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport and check you into your hotel in Entebbe. Right before supper, you will have a briefing with your trip expert. If you arrive early and want to be active, there are optional activities available in Entebbe. For instance, birdwatchers can encounter the ancient shoebill by visiting the globally known botanical gardens or the Mabamba marshes. You can shop at the contemporary malls or take a leisurely stroll to the nearby markets.

Staying at: Boutique hotel number 5( luxury)

After breakfast, you will receive a briefing about your safari honeymoon package. You’ll then travel to Jinja City, located at the source of the Nile River, where you’ll spend two nights in a luxurious riverside cottage. While in Jinja, you can visit the Gandhi monument to learn about the history of Indians in the town, take a speedboat trip to the source of the Nile, or visit the John Speke monument to explore the history of the region’s exploration.

Staying at: Lemala Wild Waters (luxury)
Meals: Full Board

For your romantic getaway on the River Nile, you can choose between adventurous and laid-back activities to enhance your experience. Options include whitewater rafting on famous rapids, which tests endurance and trust, with expert guidance provided. For a more relaxed adventure, you can ride a horse at sunrise along the river. If you’re seeking more adrenaline, try quad biking on country roads or bungee jumping off a Nile cliff. For a tranquil experience, you can take a scenic drive around Jinja, explore local markets, or simply enjoy private time in your riverside cottage, surrounded by the soothing sounds and views.

Staying at: Lemala Wild Waters (luxury)
Meals: Full Board

Although you shouldn’t rush to leave Lemala’s luxury, make sure to enjoy the sunrise because of its beautiful golden colors! After checking out of your cottage, drive to Entebbe on the highway. Along the way, we’ll take a short walk through the historic Mabira rainforest. This is one of Uganda’s important forest reserves, covering 300 square kilometers (120 sq. miles), and is home to many plants and animals. The forest is on gently rolling hills with flat tops and wide valleys formed by streams, and it borders Lake Victoria on one side. After spending one more romantic night in Entebbe, you’ll take an early morning trip to Kibale Forest, located in western Uganda beneath the Rwenzori Mountains.

Staying at: Boutique hotel number 5( luxury)

After breakfast, you’ll leave at 8:00 am and drive west to Kibale National Park, passing through Fort Portal City. You’ll stay in a cozy forest cottage with beautiful views. The drive offers stunning sights of western Uganda, including banana and tea plantations, cattle ranches, terraced gardens, and rolling hills, similar to places like Bali, Switzerland, or Tuscany. You’ll stop for lunch in Fort Portal, a historic town at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains, where you can see the snow-capped peaks. After exploring the town, you’ll go to your forest lodge for a romantic dinner and a night’s stay.

You’ll stay at: Ndali lodge (FB-Luxury)

Start your day early with breakfast, and then go to the meeting point for the chimpanzee trekking trip. Since you might be in the jungle for a while, make sure to pack lunch and water. Chimp trekking is an active experience where you’ll follow the chimps for about an hour as they move around. The chimps in Uganda are lively, loud, and not afraid of people, so you’ll see them swinging, fighting, grooming, and interacting socially. You can choose to go on a one-hour trek or a full-day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience. While you’re trekking, you might also see other monkeys, like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red colobus, and baboons.

Afternoon excursion to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Bird lovers will find paradise in this refuge, where an afternoon nature stroll might reveal up to 50 different species. In the trees of Bigodi, you might spot around seven different species of primates on a good day. Because there are so many fruit trees there, it’s one of the greatest spots in Uganda to see monkeys. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a prime illustration of a locally driven method to managing natural resources that has produced substantial benefits for the local populace.

You’ll stay at: Ndali Lodge (Luxury)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (Packed), Dinner

You’ll start early with a 7:30 am domestic flight from Kasese to Kisoro Airport, near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a 1.5-hour drive to Kisoro, our driver will take you to begin a village walking tour. The 45-minute walk follows scenic paths through mountain slopes, rainforests, and local villages. Along the way, you’ll meet friendly locals and observe their daily activities. The walk leads to Lake Mutanda, where you’ll board traditional dug-out canoes for a peaceful 2.5-hour journey, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. You’ll see fishermen, locals transporting goods, and others working by the lake before meeting your guide for a transfer to your lodge.

Staying at: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Your day will begin early at 7:00 am with breakfast and a packed lunch. By 7:30 am, your private driver will take you to the meeting point for gorilla trekking, which starts at 8:00 am, no matter the weather or how many people are in your group. The trek will take most of the day, with more time spent hiking than watching the gorillas. You will have one hour to see the mountain gorillas from about 10 meters away, but they might come closer at times. The tough hike through the jungle is worth it for the chance to see the gorillas. You’ll return around 2:00 pm, have lunch in the jungle, and then spend the evening at your cottage. Enjoy chatting with others in the lounge after dinner.

Staying at: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (packed), and Dinner.

On the fourth day of your romantic getaway, you can choose between optional activities or relax at your forest cottage. You could stay at the lodge to read, join a cooking class, book a spa massage, or take a walk and interact with locals. For more adventure, return to the jungle for another gorilla encounter or the habituation experience (if pre-booked). Alternatively, you can go canoeing on Lake Mutanda, take a forest walk on a Batwa Forest Trail or the Circular Trail, or enjoy a sundowner picnic with 360-degree views of the stunning hilly landscapes near the lodge.

Staying at: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

In order to make the 8:00 am flight from Kisoro to Entebbe, you will eat breakfast early. Travelling through the hot sun over the mountains, streams, and valleys to the airport is the most thrilling part of wrapping off your safari honeymoon in Uganda. As you recall your time spent on the property, a wave of connection to the area will sweep over you. The lush forest spread, the Virunga volcanic chain, and the rough terrain of the Rift Valley add to the enchantment as you soar over them. Saying farewell to Uganda’s once-in-a-lifetime romantic journey happens during the flight. As you get ready for your international trip back home, we will check you into your hotel.
